THE WORLD'S FIRST tattooed car has been revealed at the Gumball 3000 Rally and its a very rare Gumpert Apollo supercar. A unique Japanese design has been chosen as the tattoo for the 200mph Gumpert and has been applied to the car by world renowned tattoo artist Aleksy Marcinow. The £370,000 supercar will go on display in the London Motor Museum after its appearance at the Gumball 300 Rally.
Citroen DS5 - another convincing DS Citroen
We had the arrival of the Citroen DS5 trumpeted as long ago as 2009 when we revealed that the DS5 would arrive in 2009, complete with hybrid diesel powertrain. Despite the official debut of the DS5 being just days away – and Citroen teasing the DS5 with a photo of a headlight last week – the powers that be at Citroen have decied that we ought to at least have a few photos and some detail ahead of Shanghai. Following in the footsteps of Local Motors, Factory Five is set to launch an open-sourced design contest to design its next car. Up until now, the Massachusetts-based company is famed for its Type '65 Shelby Cobra Coupe replicas and its GTM racecar. Teaming up with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine, Factory Five is now launching the design contest to design the bodywork for its latest project: a Subaru Impreza-engined, rear-wheel-drive two-seater that is expected to sell for under $9,000 in kit form, or $15,000 as a complete car.
